 REDEEMING THE TIME AND SECURING THE FUTURE WITH ZIPHION CHRYSANTHUS is a well thought out compendium that seeks to articulate the success stories and blueprint of a man whose vision is louder than an electric guitar and heavier than a heavy metal.  RATIONALE BEHIND THE COMPENDIUM 

 “Vision is the ability to see potential in what others overlook.” This is the sentiment of Rick Warren in his classical “The Purpose Driven Life”. Applying this wisdom in this context would form the 4 policy thrust and strategic action plans of Ziphion Chrysanthus as he embarks on a journey replete with capacity to pay higher dividends in our collective futures. In the year 2018, a tall and bold vision was birthed by this exceptional personality to contest for the position of House of Representatives under Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam Federal Constituency in 2023 political dispensation, a vision subtly manifesting through the course of time. After the vision was made clear with deep conviction about its reality, Ziphion began widespread consultation to seek the advices, suggestions and viewpoints of both young and old as well as family and friends. The handwriting is now clear on the wall. The support has been massive literally. He has been receiving the blessings and goodwill of all the people he has been consulting especially at the grassroots level. The future remains bright undoubtedly. This compendium seeks to reel out the strategic action plans and blueprint of Ziphion Chrysanthus. It basically encapsulates his vision for the future. 

 PROFILE OF ZIPHION CHRYSANTHUS

He was born to the family of Rev. Chrysanthus Bala of Chip district, Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State. He is the 3rd out of 4 children. By virtue of his father being a clergy man, he grew up at different social societies which shaped his diverse orientation even as a child. Those early years were a happy and lively times for the lad. He was described as respectful, dutiful and cheerful young man. Ziphion Chrysanthus began his formal education at COCIN academy nursery primary school Nasarawa Gwong Jos. It was gathered from his friends and teachers that he was a precious pupil with brilliance and determination to succeed against all odds. His school mates were always rallying round him because of his sterling leadership qualities and resourcefulness. At Boys secondary school Gindiri, he was known to be tolerant and social among his mates. His friendly disposition, endeared him to his juniors. After his secondary school education, the yearning for a brighter tomorrow pushed him to the campus of Dorben Polytechnic Bwari Abuja where he obtained a Diploma in accounting and then secured admission at the University of Abuja to advance his career in accounting. He thereafter obtained a BSc honours. He holds a post graduate Diploma in logistics and Supply Chain Management. To his credit, he holds membership to the following professional bodies.

 Associate member chattered institute of warehousing and material management 

 Associate member chattered institute of supply chain management. 

 He is also a chattered supply chain management professional 

Just like Everett Rogers posits in his research on diffusion of innovation, Ziphion is said to be an innovator who likes to explore. Today, he is proudly a Chief Executive Officer of four Indigenous companies blossoming in the world of commerce. They are:

He’s happily married to Hannah and has to his credit many meritorious awards of honour owing to his philanthropy, excellent and quality accomplishment of business assignments as well as his team spirit approach to matters of life. He’s committed to raising the bar of excellence in leadership. 

 *A NEW VISION FOR PANKSHIN, KANKE, KANAM (PKK) FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY* 

As a constituent and someone increasingly curious to know what affects my people with a view to applying strategy and far reaching solution, over the years, I’ve had cause to study emerging developments in PKK and the hurdles our people are confronted with. What I’ve learned is the fact that, PKK is a land of boundless opportunities. It needs to be further pushed to accomplish breakthrough and landmark impacts. Politicians come and go. Those who represented the constituency and the one currently representing it did the best they could. It is time to come with greater vision and enthusiasm to achieve something of extraordinary significance. This must be done for the sake of conscience and posterity. I am stepping forward as a servant and someone touched by God to represent the good people of Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam Federal constituency at the green chamber come 2023. It is a vision anchored on the will of God because together with my friends, we have prayed and felt a deeper sense of conviction that the time to reel out uncommon transformation and take our people through a process of change in order to achieve a more stable, just and secure future is now. There is no better time to make it happen than now. The time to raise critical voices on behalf of a people seeking liberation from the shackles of marginalization and backwardness is now. The time to dream up, speak up and stand up for a people increasingly left politically, socially and economically stranded is now. The time to change the status quo and put our people in the verdant valleys of hope and prosperity is now. The past might be cloudy but I am optimistic that the future remains bright. It is indeed time for a paradigm shift. I’m young and energetic. It gives me greater joy seeing my people achieving greatness and big dreams in a world of boundless opportunities. My determination is to open more frontiers and access to golden opportunities without leaving anyone behind. Each and every one will be represented, given a voice and carried a long in the scheme of things. 

 STRATEGIC BLUEPRINT AND ACTION PLAN

In the context of my aspiration, let the future say of our generation that we sent forth mighty currents of hope and that we worked together to improve the future of PKK. We are ready to brave all odds and surmount emerging challenges to actualize the strategic vision of making PKK a place where all of our dreams come true. Our most thrilling story would be told by and through us. This is our article of faith. 

  ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT: It is in our defined agenda to help PKK actualize sustainable development and inclusive growth as enunciated by the United Nations. We may not have the capacity to actualize all the goals but definitely, we will accomplish specific ones like ending poverty through robust youth and women economic empowerment, skills acquisition through entrepreneurship to help our people become productive members of the world economy as well as other development initiatives that have direct bearing on PKK. It is one thing to initiate a development project and another thing all together to ensure its sustenance. We will put in place sustainable mechanism and strategy to carry out these tasks to the latter and not flag or fail. When our people are economically empowered, they will feel a sense of security and become employers of labor rather than depending too much on white collar jobs. We will also do our best to help graduates secure employment with both private and public sectors as we have always done so they can contribute significantly to nation building and achieve their dreams. We are determined to make it happen. 

  CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE: We will mobilize different capacities and resources in collaboration with development partners to attract projects and unveil critical initiatives to end development challenges. Our priority is to ensure the transparent utilization of constituency funds to upgrade the living standard of our people by providing clean water, quality health care and food security through advanced agriculture throughout the constituency. One of our cardinal agendas is to sink boreholes in every polling unit tagged the PKK Water Revolution. We will purchase heavy duty drilling machines strictly for the use of PKK in our first year in office to execute this project. This is a promise and agenda that cannot be swept under the carpet. We are determined to make it happen. 

  SCHOLARSHIP: I have always done my best with available resources to help the youths achieve their educational goals and careers through financial supports. The Ziphion Chrysanthus scholarship scheme has had an impact on the youths over time. In this spirit, we will advance our efforts and wage renewed struggle to ensure no one is left behind in achieving quality education. We will identify the vulnerable members of society and dispel their disillusionments by giving them the ladder they need to climb and achieve their educational goals. The scholarship is going to be clearly defined and extended to those that are in need especially those in the villages from primary to tertiary institutions of learning. We will identify them by forming different committees to collect and analyze their data for proper action. Our underlying concern is to have them feel the impact of our leadership. We are determined to make it happen. 

  BILL, DEBATES AND MOTION:

 I will do my possible best to initiate bills and motions that are critical to the sustenance of development, welfare and the harmonious co-existence of the good people of PKK and indeed the country at large. Speaking on matters of urgent importance and emerging issues affecting PKK and the entire nation would be a priority. The voice of PKK cannot be dimmed and relegated to the background. We will be a voice to the voiceless and become a channel through which the less privileged ones among us can reach out and ensure their efforts in nation building count. We will do all of these things in partnership with all and sundry while measuring our efforts and progress through strategic monitoring and evaluation. We are determined to make it happen.
